New Member Classes

For those interested in joining Trinity Lutheran Church or for those who want to refresh their understanding of our church, Adult Classes are offered at Trinity once or twice a year. Generally these classes meet on Sunday mornings during the Educational Hour beginning at 9:00 am for three or four successive Sundays. Since these classes take place during the Educational Hour there is Sunday School and Nursery care for children (6 months and older). This schedule will also allow for the opportunity to worship before or after the classes. See the Tidings (church newsletter) or Sunday bulletin for the next available class. Please call Pastor Tom with any questions.

Women’s Bible Study

The Women’s Bible Study meets at 9:00 am the second Thursday of every month in the Gathering Space. One member of the group leads the lesson with assistance from the pastor. We use the Lutheran Woman Today magazine as our resource. Every woman of Trinity is welcome to attend.

Al-Anon Support Group

Al-Anon is a program designed for family members and friends of an alcoholic that meets Mondays at 7:30 pm at Trinity. We focus on making our lives better by working on the Twelve Step program adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous. We find serenity for ourselves as we learn to accept alcoholism as a disease that we are powerless over. We strongly support each other in our efforts to work through the problem of alcoholism that we cannot cure.

The Saturday Morning Bible Study meets from 8:30 to 10:00 am on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month upstairs in the Sunday School area. Our resources are from the ELCA Book of Faith initiative inviting all to “open scripture and join the conversation” to help us become more fluent in the language of our faith. We continue to ask questions of Jesus through the Gospel of Mark. Long-term study commitments are not necessary; no prep is needed; no homework is assigned. It’s simply conversation. Join us as your schedule allows. Bring your favorite Bible and your own experiences as we enjoy conversation over coffee and breakfast treats. For additional information, contact Tammie at tammiesorenson@yahoo.com or 654-3256.
